Wow, Olive, a proper favorites post! I never get to around to doing these so this is pretty exciting, yeah?
Ok, let me just start out by saying, I have bought WAYYYY too many things this month. Since the Christmas season, really, I’ve been on an absolute spending rampage. It’s bad, I know. But it happens. No apologies.
This isn’t all going to be makeup, guys, I swear it. But, uh…

Lorac Unzipped Palette
(Swatches and mini-review here, neutral look with this palette here)
This is an amazing neutrals palette. It has almost every color I’d need to do a pretty, simple everyday look (sans a matte brown or black, but I can make do with my own). The pans are huge, the colors are pigmented, and they blend SOOOO WEEEELLLLL.Â
Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Shadow Sticks
I have these in Tempting Turquoise (the brightest bright blue ever), Bulletproof Beige (a great everyday champagne base), and Blackmail (a pretty darn good matte black). I’ve used them as eyeliners and eyeshadow bases, and I can hereby state that they are pretty damn good. You have to work quickly though, because once they set, they are on for the rest of the day. More colors, please.
Revlon Lip Butters
I have these in Berry Smoothie, Candy Apple, and Sugar Plum, and I honestly don’t know how I’ve crawled across this earth all these years without owning these. They make wearing lip products to school a possibility (I loathe touch-ups, and school air is the dryest ever). They’re moisturizing and just tinted enough to give my face some life. When they wear off, no biggie, I can reapply without a mirror. Basically,
One thing I haven’t found is a mascara to rival Maybelline’s The Falsies. I love the formula, but I always end up with under-eye smudgies by the end of the day. If you guys have any good volumizing, long-lasting drugstore mascaras I should try, please let me know in the leedle box at the bottom!

Frozen
Yes, I am that white girl. Frozen the first time was ok (my review here). Frozen the second time was incredible. Mind-blowing. Disney at its finest. The songs. The makeup. The Olaf.
I actually haven’t watched a lot of movies lately, as my family has been plowing through Supernatural episodes like nobody’s business. Yep, I have succeeded in getting them all addicted. So obviously that’s a favorite, but that’s my absolute favorite show ever, so I can’t really talk about it without dissolving into a puddle of shape-shifter goo. Hey, referencesnobodygets!
Moving on…
♦♦♦Books♦♦♦
I haven’t really been reading much either. I’d say it’s because of finals and school and stress and jobs and sports, but really it’s just because I’m a lazy thing who’d rather watch makeup tutorials and TV. That’s Gen Y for you. I did however read John Irving’s A Prayer for Owen Meany for AP Literature and I loved it. Plain and simple, it was one of the best books I’ve ever read.
It can get a bit long and tedious, but everything is symbolic and deep and meaningful, so it’s worth slowing down and reading it properly (guilty book-devourer over here). And if the ending doesn’t make you cry, we can’t be bros.
This is going to make me sound like a complete nerd, but what doesn’t? My mom gave me a book of logic puzzles for Christmas, and I love them. I could do them for a year and not get bored. Does that make me a freak? Probably.
And on that note…That’s all, folks!
