Hello, friends! I may have just found my new favorite lip product EVER.
Introducing the Sonia Kashuk Shine Luxe Lip Color. Basically, this is the perfect hybrid of a lipstick, lipgloss, and lip balm. It gives more color than just a tinted lipbalm, but it also hydrates and doesn’t require obsessive touching up like a lipstick would (and it’s shinaaayy).
I have the shades Sheer Plum and Sheer Melon, and I could not love them more if I tried. Lemme see if I can dig up some pics.
Here’s Sheer Plum, at least. Sheer Melon is a beautiful juicy orange-coral. It’s lighter than most of my lipsticks, so it makes a unique change. Plus Annie said it looked nice on me, so there’s that.
Lasting power on these guys is about 5 hours; you’ll need to reapply with eating/drinking because they don’t set. They leave your lips feeling wonderful afterward, not at all dry and without that awkward ring around the inside of your mouth that I always get from lipsticks.
(Can you tell I don’t like lipstick??)
All in all, I’m going to buy all of these. ALL OF THEM. The shade range is a little more limited than I’d like (could we maybe get some darker colors? A bright grape-y purple? Too much to ask?) and they’re freaking $10.99 (yipes) but they’re worth it.
