Why I Couldn’t Live Without the Internet

22 Jun

The internet is my best friend, folks, and here’s why.

1. It’s always been there for me.

2. It doesn’t judge me; in fact, it constantly proves to me that I am not the only crazed psychotic maniac (bit redundant, I know) trapped within the recesses of my own mind, running around unsuspected by authority figures.

3. It understands the little things.

I don't know why I think it will magically travel across the country

Especially during summer

Oh Ron Burgundy...

4. It’s a bit of a grammar nut.

My usual response after I've asked someone how they're doing

5. Aaaand of course, it has provided the better part of the civilized world with an unbelievably vast wealth of knowledge available at our fingertips, here to enrich our minds and provide a transport to fame and fortune. But that’s not important.

Think of the memes! The kittehs! The idiots who think they can outwit someone with the powers of their own douchebaggery! What would we do without you, internet?

I grew up on the cusp of the “internet generation” so I remember about 8 years or so without a computer. It’s very strange to think of life without them now…I think I’d end up going outside a lot more!

Think inside the box!
